We love the Franklin and Pukekohe communities—especially the people who make them so special. Below are some of the programmes we offer or support. If any of these interest you, we’d love to welcome you along. For more information, feel free to get in touch.

Oasis

Oasis is a vibrant midweek gathering—like a large life group—open to retirees and anyone available on Wednesday mornings. We meet weekly at 10am for morning tea, followed by worship, teaching, and fellowship. With an average attendance of around 25, Oasis is a place of connection, encouragement, and spiritual growth.

On the first Wednesday of each month, we hold a special Chapel Service at 11am, featuring guest speakers and followed by a light lunch in the café. These services are a highlight of the month, offering inspiration and community. A small koha helps cover lunch costs.

Our regular sessions include video-based teaching (often from David Jeremiah or Robert Morris), lively discussions, and occasional guest speakers sharing practical insights. We also enjoy outings on fifth Wednesdays—recent adventures have included garden visits, bowling, and shared meals.

Oasis is supported by a dedicated team who help with hospitality, worship, and technical support. Whether you’re a regular churchgoer or simply looking for a welcoming space midweek, we’d love to have you join us.

Franklin Community Toy Library

Imagine having access to over 1,000 toys, puzzles, and educational resources—without the cost or clutter of buying new ones. That’s what the Franklin Community Toy Library offers to families across Pukekohe and the wider Franklin area.

We’re a not-for-profit organisation providing affordable toy hire through termly or annual memberships. It’s like having Christmas all over again every two weeks! Our collection supports children from birth through to age 8, with items that encourage imagination, learning, and development. We also stock games and activities for the whole family.

Joining the Toy Library helps reduce waste, saves money, and gives children access to a constantly changing variety of quality play experiences. It’s also a great way to connect with other parents and caregivers in the community.

Opening hours: Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays from 9:30am–11:30am

Pukekohe North Mission

In a neighbourhood often marked by hardship, a quiet movement of hope is changing lives. The Pukekohe North Mission began with a simple act—serving breakfast to children—and grew into a deep, long-term commitment to walk alongside families, support young people, and build a stronger, more connected community.

Through mentoring, education support, practical care, and meaningful relationships, this mission is helping to rewrite stories—one child, one family, one moment at a time. It’s not about quick fixes. It’s about showing up, listening, and loving people where they are.

This is a story of faith in action, where compassion meets courage, and where lives are being transformed by the power of presence, prayer, and practical support.

Children’s Ministry

At Franklin Baptist, we believe every child is deeply valued and full of potential. Our Children’s Ministry is a safe, fun, and nurturing space where kids can explore faith, ask big questions, and build lasting friendships.

Every Sunday during the school term at 10am, we offer age-appropriate programmes for children:

  • Parenting Room – A relaxed space for parents and babies
  • Wonder Kids – For preschool-aged children
  • Discovery Kids – For children in Years 1–4

Through stories, music, games, and creative activities, children are encouraged to discover who God is and how much they are loved. We also support families with resources and encouragement to help faith grow at home—whether you’re new to church or just exploring what it’s all about.

Our team of trained volunteers is passionate about creating a welcoming environment for every child. You don’t need to be a churchgoer to join us—everyone is welcome.

If you’d like to learn more or connect with our Children’s Ministry leader, feel free to reach out to info@fbc.nz. We’d love to meet you!

FBI (Franklin Baptist Intermediates)

FBI is our programme for young people in Years 7–9, designed to be a space where intermediates can explore life, faith, and friendships in a way that’s real, relevant, and fun.

We know this age is a key time in a young person’s journey—when they start asking deeper questions and forming their own beliefs. FBI provides a relaxed and welcoming environment where they can do just that. Whether it’s through Sunday morning sessions, social events, or serving opportunities, our goal is to help young people discover who they are and how they can make a difference.

FBI meets on Sunday mornings during the school term, and also hosts regular social events like movie nights, games, and outings. These gatherings help build strong connections and create a sense of belonging.

Our leaders are passionate about walking alongside young people, encouraging them to grow in confidence, character, and faith—no matter where they’re starting from. You don’t need to be part of our church to join in. Everyone is welcome.

Franklin Baptist Youth (Years 9 – 13)

FBC Youth is a space where young people can be themselves, ask big questions, and explore what faith looks like in everyday life. Whether you’re curious about God, looking for community, or just want a place to belong—you’re welcome here.

We meet every Tuesday night at 7pm at Franklin Baptist Church for a mix of fun, connection, and meaningful conversation. Through games, music, discussion, and shared experiences, we help youth discover how to live with purpose, love others well, and grow in their understanding of who God is.

Our heart is to disciple a generation to know the love of Jesus—not just in theory, but in real life. We create a safe space for young people to explore faith, build friendships, and find support as they navigate the challenges and opportunities of teenage life.

You don’t need to be part of our church to come along. Everyone is welcome.
