To the ends of the earth

To the ends of the earth / Marian Whitehead
This week we are starting our ‘Renew Together’ series. The New Zealand Baptist Missions Society is now called ‘Arotahi’ (together focusing in one direction) and each year we spend some time focusing on Global mission. This year we will look at the great commission (Matthew 28:16-20) and seeing what God is doing through our Baptist Mission people throughout the world. We also have some of our own people sharing their stories of how God has used them in their place of mission overseas. At the end of our short series, we will be taking up a special offering that will go towards the work that our Baptist churches have been involved in for over 120 years.

Luke 15
This morning we will continue our look at being outwardly focused and who God is calling us to be and asking us to do with His good news.
God’s extravagant love and compassion for people is demonstrated when we become extravagantly outward looking.
Luke 15 gives us some insight into this topic so come and join us as we take a look at God’s word for us this week.

Luke 7:12-16, John 10:10
This week we are starting a new series that look at what have we been called to do as the Church of Jesus Christ. Matthew 5:13-16 Jesus tells us that our role is to be light and salt in the world, to have an influence and to shine with the love of God in a way that declares the gospel message. This is our mandate to look beyond ourselves to our community, our nation and to the world.
